Similar to a Mongolian barbecue restaurant where patrons cook their own food, New Kingswood’s Teppan Steakhouse has teppan chefs cook and serve the food right in front of the patrons. This establishment located on the second floor of the Valley Boulevard plaza is a teppanyaki steak house, sushi bar and hot pot spot as well. If you love to over-indulge in good food, New Kingswood is definitely the place to go.
I know what you’re thinking, this must be another Echo Park Mexican food spot. Well don’t let the name fool you because you won’t get your burrito fix here! Instead, expect a menu full of paninis, melts, Italian dishes, crepes, and their specialty…Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Yes, that’s right, Chicago Deep Dish Pizza right in the heart of Echo Park. The plus side is that you get all of this while being in a warm, homey, eclectic setting.

Whenever I check out a new spot, I’m quick to judge whether it’s a spot with boyfriend, lover or girl's night out material. Assuming that you have all three (a partner, a lover and a circle of friends), you’ll find my reviews helpful when you have to decide on whom to take where. Lesson to be learned people… don’t mix your circle of friends and don’t take them to the same places. God forbid you run into your boyfriend at last week’s spot when you’re out with your lover!
