Spanish Rock group Volumen Cero Wows Trend-Setting Latinos at Private “Acoustic Sessions” Concer

The event, presented by Al Borde, is the first of its kind for the ten-year-old publication

Los Angeles, CA –April 9, 2007—Al Borde officially inaugurated the “Al Borde Lounge” with a private acoustic concert that was given by internationally renowned Spanish Rock group Volumen Cero. A crowd of close to 200 --mostly young, trend-setting fans of Volumen Cero and Al Borde as well as Latin Alternative entertainment industry members, sponsors, designers, and advertising industry insiders-- came together to enjoy the free concert at the publication’s headquarter facility in Norwalk, California.

The two-story Al Borde Lounge was the perfect venue for the concert, providing an ambiance that was a wonderful mix of comfy and fun. The performance was given in the downstairs section, which was adequately set up with lounge recliners and bean bag sofas; while upstairs the bar area featured a great fashion display by up-and-coming fashion designer Juan Chavez from Otis College.

This particular concert was also a first for Volumen Cero, who had never performed an acoustic set before. “We’re glad to perform at a venue that allows us to interact so easily with the audience,” said singer Luis Tamblay. “Our performance here has us thinking about releasing an acoustic album of our own.”

The Volumen Cero Acoustic performance was exclusively sponsored by Monster Beverage Co. and El Clasificado. The beverage company provided beverages for the crowd all evening, in addition to decking out the venue personalized lounge chairs. Jack Daniel’s will sponsor Al Borde’s next “Acoustic Sessions” performance. El Clasificado provided the grassroots venue designed to host Al Borde music, fashion, movie events to small intimate gatherings of guests that want to be introduced to edgy, non-ubiquitous LA Latin culture.

Al Borde’s “Acoustic Sessions” is a series of four intimate concerts held on a quarterly basis. The second performance is scheduled for May 25th, and will feature local “power pop” rock group Pastilla.

Al Borde is a free bi-weekly publication that reaches young and trend-setting 18- to 34-year-old Hispanics. Since 1997, Al Borde has maintained a high standard in design and content quality and will continue to break new ground by adding new multimedia solutions for clients and readers to enjoy. The publication is rapidly becoming a leading Latin Alternative multiplatform company that offers advertising opportunities through sponsored events, section sponsorships, street team promotions, web sites, and mobile services.
