Music Galore @ The Sunset Strip Music Festival

Summer ’09 will be a thing of the past in only a couple of weeks. And with that poignant farewell we’ll also be saying hasta la vista to many of the summer concerts that took place this year. Descarga at the Universal City Walk brought us an alternativo night with our beloved Mucho Wednesday’s DJ’s along with Soy Disco and others, Al Borde filled you in on A&M Entertainment’s Summer Lovin’ music series, and Al Borde also gave you the 411 on the first ever Epicenter festival which featured Tool, Linkin Park, Wolfmother, Alice in Chains and endless others. But before we ditch our swimsuits for over coats and Ugg boots (yes Ugg boots, they make an appearance every fall season for some reason!), Sunset Hollywood’s getting into the action with their annual Sunset Strip Music Festival.

The Sunset Strip Music Festival will take place on September 10, 11 and 12 and will include more than 40 bands, outdoor stages, and performances at the Key Club, The Roxy Theatre, Whisky a Go-Go, and others. The 3-day festival kicks off on Thursday, September 10th with a tribute to Ozzy Osbourne performed by Camp Freddy at the strip’s House of Blues. This year, attendees will benefit from discounted services and amenities at the local businesses, and will have the opportunity to quench their thirst in the designated beer gardens (21 and over only, of course!).
