Grammy winning recording artist, Sheryl Crow will perform a free concert at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday, November 16 at 7:30 PM in support of breast cancer awareness. Grab a Yoplait special pink lid and exchange it for a free ticket.
Singer-songwriter, musician, and actress Sheryl Crow has won nine Grammy Awards from the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences. Her inspiring songs incorporate elements of rock, folk, hip hop, country and pop. She has released seven studio albums, two compilations, and a live album, and has contributed to film soundtracks. She has become a household name for American Music selling 16 million albums in the United States and 35 million albums worldwide and currently is promoting her latest production, released in July through A&M Records: 100 Miles from Memphis, the distance from her hometown to the music mecca, is an ode to her formative memories of music and her hope to inspire young music fans to investigate the landscape beyond processed pop and Auto-Tune.
Sheryl also knows a little about surviving breast cancer. She was treated for breast cancer in 2006. Crow had "minimally invasive" surgery, followed by radiation therapy.
To promote breast cancer awareness, as well as honor her Los Angeles fans, Sheryl Crow has teamed up with Nederlander Concerts and Yoplait’s Save Lids to Save Lives program to present a free concert at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood on Tuesday, November 16.Complimentary tickets will be available to those who bring a Yoplait® yogurt lid to the Pantages Theatre box office, while supplies last. Each Yoplait® yogurt lid can be exchanged for one ticket (maximum four tickets per person).
This free Sheryl Crow concert is sponsored by Yoplait®, a long-time supporter of the fight against breast cancer through its Save Lids to Save Lives program, to help raise further awareness for the cause. Through Save Lids to Save Lives, special pink lids can be found on Yoplait yogurt cups this fall.
For every pink lid saved and sent in by December 31, 2010, Yoplait will donate 10 cents to Susan G. Komen for the Cure®, up to $1.6 million, with a guaranteed minimum donation of $500,000. During the past 12 years, Yoplait has donated more than $25 million to the cause through all its donation programs.
