Gorillaz “Escape to Plastic Beach” Tour Featuring N.E.R.D.

The “Escape to Plastic Beach” tour will take the virtual band, Gorillaz, on a worldwide trip in support of their 2010 release, “Plastic Beach”. “Plastic Beach” is the third studio album from the English band in which rappers Snoop Dogg, Mos Def and American rocker Lou Reed, among others, collaborated. 

Supporting the current Gorillaz fictional band members: Stuart “2D” Pot, Murdoc Niccals, Russel Hobbs, Noodle and Cyborg Noodle, will be American rock/hip hop band N.E.R.D. with Pharrell Williams and Shay Haley. N.E.R.D. will join the tour on the October 6th Boston, Massachusettes date, missing the October 3rd kick off tour date in San Diego, California.

The North American dates will be followed by an extensive list of dates that will take the band from Europe, the UK, Austria and Asia as well.
