Los Amigos Invisibles to release album, “Commercial”

Going commercial is next on the to-do for our amigos Los Amigos Invisibles. To be released on June 9th as their sixth studio album, “Commercial” comes out as a blunt attempt for international appeal and is a collection of two years worth of writing and composing. According to a press release via the offices of Nacional Records, with “Commercial” LAI got into the rhythm of writing their music with live shows in mind. Live shows that, according to LAI guistarist José Luis Pardo, are more representative of what really gets people groovin’.

“Mentiras” serves as the first tease off this new album and offers electro infused tunes very much of classic LAI with its lyrics of womanizing ways over by disco/tech beats. Further into the album, LAI takes you to a funky 70’s disco via “Sueño Erotico”, which is laid down as the fifth track of the album and shows the work of LAI with the 2005 recipient of the Knight of the Arts and Letters French award, DJ Demitri from Paris. The 11-track album was touched by multiple hands other than DJ Demitri from Paris including the collaborative feel of Los Prisioneros’ Jorge Gonzalez, Natalia Lafourcade, Señor Coconut’s Argenis Brita and others.

Already, a taste of “Mentiras” can be indulged by checking out the bands web pages and “Sueño Erotico” can be set for trial by checking DJ Demitri from Paris’ Web page as well.
