Point blank: there are no better people in this world to give words of wisdom, than those who have truly mastered the skill. In this case, we turn to our favorite musicians to give us hangover remedies that’ll get us back on our feet post holiday pachangas. Members of Quiero Club, Jumbo, Cosmopolitan, Ruido de Fondo and La Santa Cecilia offer their words of wisdom by sharing the best hangover remedies that have gotten them through the worst cases of drinking scenarios. Read and learn.

1.) What's your hangover remedy?
Quiero Club’s Gustavo Davila:
Drink this concoction: Combine in a blender 1 can of Coca Cola, 1 gig ripe banana, 1 good-looking chile serrano (omit the seeds) and pray while it blends.
Jumbo’s Flip Tamez:
There is an internal joke in Jumbo about this. Somewhere I read that what is best for the hangover is lots of fat and sugar. So having a big taco or burger with a chocolate cake or cheesecake for dessert in the Mexico City airport the Sunday after a gig is now a tradition.
Cosmopolitan:
Shrimp ceviche with a beer and 2 aspirins.
Ruido de Fondo’s Alex:
Eat fresh celery sticks. When you get home all pedo from a crazy night of pari and drinking, reach into the fridge and eat 4-6 celery sticks before going to bed. We don't know the science behind it, but it works. It's best to have them ready beforehand because don't want to try handling a sharp knife at 3am when you're seeing double…. unless you don't like having fingers.
La Santa Cecilia:
La Santa Cecilia band members each have their own way of curing a hangover.
The one thing we all have in common is consuming fluids, which include: beer, milk, coffee, juice, ginger ale and H2O (agua). In addition to fluids, we must put a little food in our system which can include: menudo with lots of chili and lemon, a pork sandwich, chilaquiles, and huevos to help with la hueva the next morning.

2.) How did you stumble upon this remedy?
Quiero Club’s Gustavo Davila:
It's my grandfather's brother's recipe that he passed on to me. I actually saw him do it and cure himself.
Jumbo’s Flip Tamez:
I read it in the newspaper.
Cosmopolitan:
With the passing of time and after many failed attempts at finding the perfect cure, we discovered that this was simply the best.
Ruido de Fondo’s Alex:
This preventative was passed on to me from form this party-crazy hair stylist I used to date. She drank like a sailor all night and still got up to work at 8am -and she never chopped off any ears.
La Santa Cecilia:
The remedy we use comes with several years of experience and practice. We have not mastered our hangover remedy for it changes according to the type of alcohol we consume. A beer hangover is very different from a wine hangover, which can be extremely different from a hard liquor cruda. And if you combine all types of alcohol, then you’re dealing with an entirely different beast. Although remedies can be passed down from generation to generation (just like good advice), it's best to discover them on your own.

3.) Give us one example of when this remedy of yours came most in handy.
Quiero Club’s Gustavo Davila:After any Wild-on-Mitras party until sun rise at Chajoe's with Quiero Club, Pato Machete, The Blake Brothers and all the Happy-fi crew!
Jumbo’s Flip Tamez:
I always try something similar to it. Other members and crew of Jumbo prefer a good Clamato juice. But really, nothing gets rid of the monkey knocking behind your head.
Cosmopolitan:
When you want to walk around like a champ, keep the party going and you don’t want to spend the next day lying in bed, try my remedy.
Ruido de Fondo’s Alex:
This "magic celery" has proven itself over and over. It's just too bad we only remember the next morning.
La Santa Cecilia:
One morning after all members of LSC consumed beer, tequila, champagne and wine all in one night, we all used their handy remedy to somewhat function the next morning. We weren't all successful, but we made it through the day.

There you have it. When your “dinner and drinks” on a Wednesday night turn into an all-nighter drinking fest, perhaps either one of these remedies can get you into your 10:00 a.m. with your best face forward. Cheers, y salud!
