Contrary from what we’ve been led to believe, fairy tales are not just for kids… at least not anymore. Justin Monroe sexifies and adds a whole lot of edge to the classic and beloved “Alice in Wonderland”.  In his debut book “Down the Rabbit Hole”, photographer Justin Monroe takes the reader literally down a rabbit hole out of reality and into a bizarre land where everything and everything is possible.  Prepare yourself to come across old favorites like you’ve never seen them before.  The books features the “First Supermodel” Janice Dickinson, tranny extraordinaire Amanda Lepore, Erik Rhodes, Jessica Rabbit, Cody Fallon and many more.  This book is not for the faint of heart- there are disturbing images, sexual and sensual photographs, shocking settings, and homoerotic references for days. 

Although this makes the perfect coffee table book, you wouldn’t want your mom to browse through it. Justin Monroe delivers a strong 160 pages full of fantasy and hyperrealism.  You’ll be in for one heck of a trip. 

Expect the unexpected in “Down the Rabbit Hole”, after all, its auteur not only epitomizes his style of photography as transgressive but also gets most of his inspiration from his dreams, people on the streets, the news, and even porn. 

“Down the Rabbit Hole” is definitely a fairy tale to remember. Alice will never be the same.
